500g lean beef mince
1 white onion, diced
1 bunch flat-leaf parsley, finely diced
4 slices of sourdough, soaked in milk
1 tsp nutmeg
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 garlic clove, crushed
Salt and pepper, to season
1 tin Ardmona Crushed Tomatoes
1⁄2 cup fresh parmesan cheese
1 bunch flat leaf parsley
1 bunch fresh basil
- Pre heat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
- Into a medium sized bowl add onions, parsley, mince and combine using your hands.
- Add the sourdough and gently combine. Add the garlic and nutmeg, egg and season with salt and pepper.
- Make the mixture into golf ball sized balls. Into a hot pan fry off the meatballs. Add the crushed tomatoes, top with parmesan and parsley and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden and crunchy. Top with fresh basil.
