BEN'S PERFECT STEAK
INGREDIENTS (SERVES 2)
2 scotch fillet steak
half an olive sourdough loaf, cut into chips
Hillfarm canola oil, few drizzles
1 cube of Ashgrove herb and garlic butter
few sprigs of thyme
2 garlic cloves, whole
Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
Place the sourdough pieces onto a baking tray, drizzle with oil and into the oven. Cook until crispy.
Next cook the steak by firstly drizzling in oil and seasoning with a pinch of salt. Add the steak to a hot pan and cook for 2 minutes of each side.
When you've flipped the steak add the butter, thyme and garlic to the pan. As the butter melts spoon it on top of the steak. Place in the oven for 2 minutes and rest for 3 minutes covered in foil.
Plate up with the sourdough chips on the side.
